“Bombes” was started when I was living in Houston, right after 9/11 aftermath. I wanted to create a whole pyramidal pile of very numerous Bombes.
Their shapes are very enigmatic as it refers to so many concepts. En egg, a rocket, a bomb, an organic shape... I wanted to create a quiet, purified work. Piling a lot of them is to amplify the heavy concept behind the imagery of a weapon.
The bombes were to be all white. a non-color color. Or a mourning color for some cultures....
Because they are numerous in edition, they can be versatile and adapt to any setting they are showed in.
